David was the 2009 recipient of the Sony World Photography Awards L’Iris D’or Grand Prize for his Deserts series, which was recognized again this year by the Black and White Spider Awards.
David is 55; his interest in the arts began at an early age working primarily in sculpture and painting. His interest in photography developed in his late teens as he traveled and worked in Europe and the Middle East. Upon returning to the States, David attended Brooks Institute and graduated with honors in ’81.
